First of all, this is not fast food like described. It's table service. I wasn't planning on having to pay for tip and such. Not a cheap meal because of this This place smells weird. The waitress was super nice & friendly! The Oklahoma onion burger was just a regular burger with fried onions on top. Not a real onion burger like Oklahoma is famous for. This place was ok if options are limited, but I wouldn't go back myself.
Betty , Angie ,Tara , Chelsea , Masen are so wonderful , thank you for being so kind every single time I come in to eat !!
This restaurant had great tasting food and the service was excellent!!
Mason was our server and impressed us beyond imagination. From recommendations, friendly conversation but not intrusive, prompt and catering. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, the food was perfect price and portion, delicious and fresh!! Came out perfectly timed and we love that they have a community reputation, very welcoming atmosphere. The pool and darts, as well as the private social room is a huge plus! Will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to everyone!!
This is a hard place to rate. My wife loved it and said it was the best gluten-free bun she's had. The homemade chips are really good. The onion rings are undercooked and unsalted. I got the catfish sandwich, which may be my mistake for getting fish at a burger place, but the "catfish" was actually just standard cheap frozen cod. It was not catfish and I don't like that they claim it is. I wouldn't come back here but my wife really liked it
I’ve been going to Johnnie’s since the 1970’s on the north side. This location has managed to maintain the quality of the original Johnnie’s menu, or at least as close as inflation will allow! I didn’t order my favorite, the Caesar, because over the years the Caesar addition to the burger has diminished greatly. But you CANNOT beat a Johnnie’s Chili-cheeseburger, ANYWHERE! Better grab some extra napkins!
The food is different, I enjoyed the fried pickles and homemade chips with salsa along with chicken fried chicken and a side of onion rings, my friend enjoyed the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fried okra, we both had gravy. The meatloaf and chicken were worth the entire trip. The onion rings tasted like flour, and the gravy tasted consistent and good just their own style, not bad. The staff is great, always lending a hand to each other and very attentive. I'll go back next time I'm in the city. The price is great considering what we ordered.
